The Silent Cry for Help of Our Sea: Mucilage

Abstract

Urbanization and industrialization brought about by population growth in our country, as in the rest of the world; causes various environmental problems. One of these environmental problems is the mucilage problem that has increased in the seas in recent years. The liquid waste load of all cities, whether coastal or not, eventually reaches the seas. This pollution load accumulates over time and becomes too large to be cleaned naturally. The formation, development and consequences of the mucilage phenomenon in both the world's seas and our country's seas have begun to be investigated. In order to eliminate or prevent this problem, a number of studies and research have focused on the subject of mucilage.
