Abstract

In this study, effect of pollen injection on total protein level in carp (Cyprinus carpio) was investigated. Pollen was injected intraperitoneally at doses of 1 mg/kg fish and 10 mg/kg fish. Changes in the total protein level were examined on the 3rd, 7th and 10th days after the injection. Compared to the control group, a statistically significant increase was detected in the total protein levels of the groups treated with pollen on the 3rd, 7th and 10th days of the experiment (p < 0.05). When pollen groups are compared with each other, it was determined that the total protein level was different from each other on the 3rd, 7th and 10th days of the experiment (p < 0.05).
